Product Overview
Tantalum sheets are steel-gray metals with extremely high melting (2996°C) and boiling points (5425°C), and a density of 16.6g/cm³. Tantalum has a very low thermal expansion coefficient and exhibits excellent ductility and toughness. It can be drawn into fine wires or made into thin foils, making it ideal for use in a wide range of high-temperature and high-strength applications.
Features
- High melting and boiling points, suitable for high-temperature environments
- Low thermal expansion coefficient, ensuring good stability
- Excellent toughness and ductility, superior to copper
- Outstanding chemical stability and corrosion resistance
- Low hardness, which can be adjusted through annealing to achieve different levels of hardness
Applications
- Chemical Industry: Tantalum can replace stainless steel in equipment for producing various inorganic acids, significantly extending the service life of the equipment
- Electronics Industry: Used in the manufacturing of capacitors, electronic components, and other devices
- High-Temperature Applications: Widely used in high-temperature environments, such as high-temperature furnaces, heat shields, and heating elements
- Military Applications: Tantalum is used as a high-temperature and corrosion-resistant material in military equipment
- Electrical Industry: Tantalum sheets can replace traditional precious metals, such as platinum, in electrical devices
