The intralayer pores are 0.40\u00d70.59nm 10-membered ring two-dimensional sinusoidal channels, while the interlayer pores are 0.71\u00d70.82nm 12-membered ring supercages that open to the exterior. This exceptional pore structure gives MCM-22 outstanding catalytic properties, especially for reactions such as alkylation, isomerization, disproportionation, and catalytic cracking in gasoline reforming.
