Product Overview

Silicon(II) Oxide (SiO) is an inorganic compound, typically appearing as a brown to yellowish amorphous powder. It has a melting point of 1702°C, a boiling point of 1880°C, and a density of 2.13 g/cm³. Under normal conditions (room temperature and pressure), SiO is insoluble in water but dissolves in a mixture of diluted hydrofluoric acid and nitric acid. When heated in air, SiO oxidizes to form Silicon Dioxide (SiO₂). The fine powder of Silicon(II) Oxide exhibits high chemical reactivity, making it widely used in the synthesis of ceramic materials and other high-precision fields.
