\nSilicon(II) Oxide (SiO) is an inorganic compound, typically appearing as a brown to yellowish amorphous powder. It has a melting point of 1702\u00b0C, a boiling point of 1880\u00b0C, and a density of 2.13 g\/cm\u00b3. Under normal conditions (room temperature and pressure), SiO is insoluble in water but dissolves in a mixture of diluted hydrofluoric acid and nitric acid. When heated in air, SiO oxidizes to form Silicon Dioxide (SiO\u2082).
