Biodegradable fiber resin is a thermoplastic fiber-grade resin made from the renewable resource polylactic acid (PLA). It offers excellent biodegradability and comfort. Compared to other natural fibers, PLA fibers provide better melt processing properties while retaining the biodegradability, comfort, and antimicrobial properties of natural fibers. This material can be used in textiles, nonwoven fabrics, and filaments, and is widely used in the apparel, home textile, and medical hygiene product industries. It has eco-friendly, low-carbon, and green characteristics.
