Product Overview
Europium is a grayish-iron metal with a melting point of 822°C, a boiling point of 1597°C, and a density of 5.2434 g/cm³. As a rare-earth element, europium has a relatively low density, soft characteristics, and is highly volatile. It is one of the more reactive rare-earth metals, easily oxidizing in air, losing its metallic shine, and reacting with various elements such as boron, carbon, and sulfur. Europium is widely used in the production of reactor control materials and neutron shielding materials.
